Wires on them are garbage, The head strap with the springs and the brittle plastic that can't handle stresses for more then a year garbage, Earphone swivels, Garbage, Giant head hurting knob in the back Garbage, fact you can barely fit eye glasses or clip prescription lenses onto properly without them sliding off constant sucks too. USB-C connectors on bottom of the controller detaching from main board are garbage too. All in all its ok graphically and does the job but price wise for how cheap and crappy the materials are its not worth its asking price. Valve knows this that is why you cannot Steam Review it even after buying it.

It should be noted that at least 2 of the named OEMs were formerly HoloLens WMR OEMs too. This seems like Meta just saw that MS did a booboo and took advantage to cement their software/market leadership and increase the overall VR ecosystem almost for free.

XR doesn't stand for extended reality it's X reality, where X can be replaced for any other format. It's the generic term. Spacial is just Apple branding trying say that they invented it by using a new term.

If they build and make it affordable people will buy it definitely word of the mouth travels so if they build the oasis world and a suit that allows you to do anything and make it affordable plus they could even charge a month to month subscription to have access to the oasis world if they wanted but yes if they build it we will come for it

I bought this device just yesterday, I'm going to be waiting 6-10 months for it to arrive but when it comes I'm going to be very excited. 127 gram headset vs a bulky 810 headset that kinda hurts my neck over extended play sessions? Yeah I think the price tag, screen quality, and updated fov of 103 degrees is perfectly fine for me. I think what's selling it for me is the size, accessory compatibility (the 3.5mm jack port is a very tight fit on the index) screen resolution, and the OLED displays. This headset is revolutionary, and is a step in the right direction for VR in the future. Valve needs to take notes for the Index 2.
